Outlaw Actors: An Acting and Improv Group for Unique Personalities
Come Join Our Posse!
Outlaw Actors is an acting and improv group for 6th and 7th graders with unique personalities. Middle schoolers with Asperger's or ADHD will have an opportunity to learn skills while having fun. Youngsters without a diagnosis who struggle socially and have a flair for the dramatic or are just intrigued by acting will fit right in. We will act, play theater games, do improv, express ourselves creatively, and most importantly have fun with peers.
Group members will have opportunities to experiment with non-verbal communication, to learn about social nuances,to understand another's perspective, and to practice flexibility all while having fun, playing theater games, and doing improv.
Outlaw Actors is facilitated by the zany mother/daughter team of Karen Noble-Newman, MA, a licensed mental health counselor and Lindsey Newman, BA, actor and teaching artist. Group will take place in in Seattle, WA.
Fall quarter was completed in December. We are planning a new session for late spring 2010.
